Our ultimate vision for Allevamento Le Caldane is to breed pure, robust sport horses capable of remarkable performance, and there is no finer breed to fulfill this dream than the 100% Tuscan Maremma horse. Our estate, which once echoed with the history of breeding the prestigious Cinta Senese pigs, is currently preparing for this grand transformation. We are working tirelessly to adapt our traditional stables, build secure fencing, protect the boundaries from wilderness predators, and carve out a perfectly safe sanctuary where our future horses can roam entirely free.
We believe that a horse’s spirit belongs to the open sky. Our philosophy is rooted in giving them as much natural space as these mountains allow. Across rolling hectares of high-altitude pasture, we are designing a sanctuary built on rotational grazing, a continuous winter supply of sweet hay from our own meadows, and 24/7 access to natural forage, wild herbs, and unrestricted movement. Here, foals will grow up gently within the protective embrace of the herd, learning social wisdom from the older horses. By keeping mares and stallions from strong, pure bloodlines, we will raise balanced, socially stable, and organically fed horses.
The rugged Tuscan Appenines will be their natural gymnasium. By allowing them to navigate this mountainous terrain and refusing to back them under saddle until they are fully grown, we ensure their muscle structure, bone density, and overall posture develop perfectly—primed for a lifetime of excellence and forza.
By combining the principles of Natural Horsemanship with 100% organic farming, holistic care, and pure ancestral bloodlines, we intend to redefine how a horse begins its journey in this world. We know our path is a niche one, meant for a very special kind of equestrian who shares our unique philosophy. We are not driven by swift commercial gain; we are here to listen to, protect, and guide nature in all its splendor, leaving a gentler, better earth for our children and our animals.
This is our lifelong mission and our quiet passion: breeding Maremmani with absolute love and dedication.
Horse Whispering & Ufo’s Legacy
While our farm remains a bustling canvas of construction, we do not yet house horses on the estate. However, our expertise and vision are already available to equestrians worldwide.
Drawing upon years of experience as a Natural Horsemanship Instructor specializing in the rehabilitation of injured, disabled, and senior horses, we offer dedicated guidance as a “horse whisperer,” helping you build a bridge of true understanding with your equine companion.
To explore our current horse whispering journeys and philosophies, we invite you to follow our sister project, Ufo’s Legacy, on Facebook and Instagram.
